Natalie and Adam's reception is easily one of my personal favorites of the year. They assembled a wonderful team with combined elements that were perfect for their rustic setting at Boxtree. Their menu was super yummy and just looking at these pictures makes me hungry!

Cocktail hour was outside the barn area with stunning views of lush greenery. Mini ham biscuits with our home made kettle simmered sweet potato butter were passed along to guests while a bountiful charcuterie display awaited guests to graze on. Charcuterie has been my favorite cocktail hour item this season, and really gives a big wow factor for the eyes and pairs really nicely with just about any wine because there are so many choices!

Dinner was stations style and included our signature slider station of sirloin beef sliders topped with bacon onion marmalade served with french fries and homemade dill pickle. Pulled pork sliders topped with shredded apple slaw, roasted fingerling potatoes and sriracha mayonnaise and a bread and butter pickle. Chesapeake crab cake sliders with country remoulade, seasoned sweet potato fries and an overnight sweet pickle. Our new taqueria station with roasted poblano & green chili shredded chicken tacos with sriracha sour cream pico, shredded lettuce and, and shredded jack cheesea, mrinated and grilled flank steak with pickled onions, avocado cream, cilantro, and crumbled cotija cheese, and pulled pork carnitas with salsa rojo, and cilantro pickled cabbage. Grilled South American street corn: whole corn on the cob grilled with the husk on peeled then slathered in roasted garlic crema, salt, pepper, chili powder, shredded manchego cheese, lime juice, and house made hot sauce. Creamy black beans and rice toppings bar of guacamole, sour cream, cilantro, hot sauces, lime wedges, crumbled cotija cheese. And last but not least our grilled black pepper beef tenderloin short-plate, showcasing  gorgonzola mouse, grilled lemongrass asparagus, herbed potato gratin with roasted garlic and smoked ranchero toasted pistachio crumble.
