This beautiful summer wedding contains some of my very favorite things about what we do here at Pumpernickel Pickle. These pictures show all the love and joy of bringing together families for a special celebration. For Carmella and John, food was a HUGE part of their day and it was very important for them that their guests had a memorable food experience. Carmella says that her guests are still talking about our food, so I think we accomplished that mission! Cocktail hour featured sirloin sliders with our signature bacon onion marmalade, a fruit display, and Carmella's personal favorite: a watermelon feta skewer drizzled with a balsamic reduction! Our service staff passed out their signature cocktail, a Greyhound, which is a mixture of gin and grapefruit juice. This is a wonderfully refreshing drink for summertime. After introductions, these two had a hilarious first dance, recreating the final dance from Dirty Dancing! Dinner was then served buffet style and included baby garden greens with romaine lettuce and arugula with toasted almonds, goat cheese croutons, dried cranberries, roasted tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion with onion poppy seed vinaigrette for a salad, a tender lemon Marsala chicken and Tuscan flank steak, grilled vegetables, green bean amandine, and buttery whipped potatoes.
